About
- Born in Ankara in 1958.
- Admitted in 1976 to the Painting, Sculpture and Interior Architecture departments of the State Academy of Fine Arts and to the Interior Architecture department of the Higher School of Applied Fine Arts. Chose the Academy’s Advanced Painting department and entered Prof. Adnan Çoker’s studio; completed the master’s degree and graduated with distinction in 1983. Also completed, with distinction, training in Prof. Zekai Ormancı’s Painting / Carpet Design Studio.
- Member of the Professional Union of Fine Arts Works of the Republic of Türkiye (GESAM) since 1988, and court-appointed expert witness of the Turkish judiciary.
- Registered in the Archive of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye since 2000.
- Served as board member and education coordinator of the Recreation Association (Rekreasyon Derneği).
- Served as an artist on the Women’s Assembly of the City Council (Kent Konseyi Kadın Meclisi), Istanbul.
- Member of the DGSA 80 Association. Served as a member of the UNESCO AIAP Türkiye National Committee, International Plastic Arts Association (UPSD).
- President of the Ailem Association in 2009; the association organized its third Family Film Festival.
- Art coordinator of VIP Diplomat magazine in 2013. Art coordinator of CTC Education Coaching Training Consulting.
- Held 49 solo exhibitions in Ankara, Istanbul, İzmir and Antalya; took part in international fairs, biennials and workshops. Works produced at the international workshop held with the Recreation Association at Eskişehir Han enabled the opening of the Eskişehir Han Hamam Museum.
- Works are held in public and private collections in Türkiye and abroad. Winner of the International Olympic Committee’s first prize in painting; the prize-winning work is in the Olympic Museum in Lausanne. Six awards in total.
- Produced large-scale works for the interior walls of hotels (Dedeman Antalya, Dedeman İstanbul, Conrad İstanbul, Richmond İstanbul, Antalya Hotel, Richmond Pamukkale, Cirius Hotels Antalya) as well as stores, galleries and administrative buildings (Istanbul / İzmir Çeşme).
- Worked for 11 years as an artist at three private colleges, leading live performance, painting, project and design workshops with gifted students, teachers and parent groups. Continued education and art activities at Acıbadem Köşk Studio and Ataşehir Studio.
- Among the founders of ESEYAD (Universal Education, Art and Solidarity Association) in 2022; served as vice president and art coordinator of the association.
- Continues to work in studios in Istanbul (Kadıköy / Erenköy / Çengelköy).
